Indie Comic Book Legends Lady Death and Shi Bring Historic Interlocking Covers the 2024 Overstreet Price Guide!
PULIDO AND TUCCI DISCUSS THE COVERS TONIGHT LIVE ON YOUTUBE HERE:
For the first time in its over 50 years of publication, the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide will feature two interlocking creator-owned characters, Brian Pulido’s Lady Death, and Billy Tucci’s Shi.
The historic covers to the 1,120-page Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #54 will be available in stores, July 25, 2024. “In an era in which even characters from the largest publishers come and go like lightning, to find two indie characters who have survived for thirty years is an incredible rarity. It’s great to have Brian Pulido’s Lady Death and Billy Tucci’s Shi on our covers,” said J.C. Vaughn, President of Gemstone Publishing.
Icons of the 1990s and the modern, creator-owned comics, Brian Pulido’s Lady Death and Billy Tucci’s Shi celebrate their 30th anniversaries in 2024, and The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #54 will put them front and center with individual covers that combine to form one powerful, larger image. Tucci and colorist Wes Hartman delivered the art of these two powerful characters.
Inside its covers, this edition of the Guide celebrates the 30th anniversaries of Lady Death and Shi, provides a broad overview of Charlton Comics, takes you on a timeline of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and spotlights The Shadow. And, of course, it comes with new market reports, updated prices, and much more!
The Bible of serious comic book collectors, dealers, and historians since it was first published in 1970, The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guideis released each July by Gemstone Publishing. Compiled by founder Robert M. Overstreet with contributions from an extensive roster of Overstreet Advisors, the Guideoffers insight into the complex and exciting comic book market.
