For the first time ever, Eisner Award winner and Inkpot recipient Billy Tucci brings back, Ran the inspiration to his legendary comic book character, Shi. In the past thirty-years Shi has garnered accolades, sold millions of comics and along with Brian Pulido’s Lady Death and Vampirella, launched the Bad Girl genre.

One can never argue with success as Tucci’s Ana Ishikawa has become a beloved staple to comics fans the world over, but to him there was always the question of what if?

What if Tucci gone with his initial creation and in her purest and most raw form?

What if Tucci had published… Ran?

Comics’ Legend Dan Lawlis’ Striking Ran: Revenge of the Warrior Variant Edition

Set in1993, Ran is everything Tucci always wanted to do with Shi but never dared. In all its 1990’s Bad Girl glory, Ran introduces the world to the character who started it all in this 48-page story of vengeance set within Tokyo’s neon licked rain-slick streets stained with blood split by the Yakuza.

Revenge of the Warrior is a sexy, no holds barred, neon-noir samurai macabre that pulls no punches and offers no mercy was originally scheduled to launch on Indiegogo on Thursday, October 16th, but due to the crowdfunding platform’s complete, and new user-friendly, upgrade Indiegogo was not operational in time.
