With the San Diego Comic Con just around the corner, Shi-creator Billy Tucci and Crusade Comics are spotlighting several of their 2023 SDCC exclusives, the signed and numbered White Metal “Ceramic Steel” covered editions for theBarbie Homage,and the 25thAnniversary Shi: Senryaku #1.

Limited to just 25 copies each, the books feature an actual metal cover coated with a white, ceramic steel. This process highlights the sheer white areas of the cover artwork and gleams with sophistication.

On the other hand, the Shi: Warrior Gallery Metal Editionboasts a natural-sheen, stainless metal used to bring out all the wonderful undersea elements of that cover.

All Metal covered editions are amongst the rarest of all Shi books and limited to just 25 signed and numbered editions each and retail for $135.00 US.

This one-of-a-kind graphite and ink illustration elegantly depicts Ana “Shi” Ishikawa, adorned in the classic black and white striped swimsuit, striking a fashionable pose in true “Barbie” fashion.

Shi: Senryaku Omnibus Edition Now On Indiegogo

Crusade’s premium-formatted, Shi: Senryaku Omnibus is currently funding on Indiegogo crowdfunding platform.

The 1995 groundbreaking comic book series is being collected into a 240-page hardcover Shi: Senryaku Omnibus features the Art of War’s Thirty-Six Stratagems gloriously interpreted by legendary comic artists detailing the life lessons of a young Ana Ishikawa as taught to her by her grandfather. Written by Blue Devil and Amethyst co-creator Gary Cohn and illustrated by such greats as Jim Lee, Amanda Conner, Terry Moore, Joe Quesada, George Perez, Billy Tucci, Jimmy Palmiotti, Frank Frazetta, Adam Hughes, Jeff Smith and many more.

Over 90% of the artwork has either never been seen before or in its complete glory. Dedicated story and biographical pages will also be included along with original b/w art, roughs, essays, and design insights.
