Crusade Comics’ 11th crowdfunding campaign, Ran: Revenge of the Warrior #1 is scheduled to go to the printer next week and its Kickstarter will close next Friday, June 19th.
Ran: Revenge of the Warrior #1 has unlocked its final Stretch Goal, expanding the 48-page graphic novel to 56 pages. The $150K Stretch Goal affords all backers with an additional 10-page bonus story marking the debut of an all-new character, MORTUARY MICHELLE!
Billy Tucci’s Mortuary Michelle Edition Flip Cover with Colors by Wes Hartman!
“I am happy to announce that Ran: Revenge of the Warrior #1 will be complete by the end of this week!” Stated creator Billy Tucci. “All black and white artwork, lettering, ads, covers, editorial pages and the flip book debut story, Michelle: Spectral Awakening #0 are now complete. We are just waiting on the final four pages of colors which are scheduled to be in on Friday. Once we give our printer Ran’s final numbers, our designer Mindy Lopkin will template the books next week and send it off to Jostens.”
Ran #1 Kickstarter will close for good Friday, June 19th with the Deborah and Billy Tucci hosting a LIVE close out stream on YouTube that is open to all fans.
In the coming days Tucci will also be showcasing interior lettered pages, covers with trade dress and give a sneak peek at Mortuary Michelle‘s art and lettering (guest starring Shi) via press releases and update.

All Ran/Mortuary Michelle books, (including foil variants) will now have two yin-and-yang covers; the offered Revenge of the Warrior covers on one side and Mortuary Michelle: Spectral Awakening on the other. The only cover perk that will not feature Mortuary Michelle flip cover is the Walter Simonson Wrap Around Special Edition, but Crusade will include an exclusive MM cover mini print inside each issue.

About Billy Tucci
Inkpot Award recipient Billy Tucci is a cartoonist best known for his modern-day samurai saga Shi.
