Gatecrasher is a 48-page, full-color, original graphic novel, where Tucci’s modern-day samurai finds herself trapped in comic book time and features Coffin Comics’ Lady Death, Stan Sakai’s Usagi Yojimbo and the world’s greatest public domain heroes.

In Gatecrasher, Ana Ishikawa, (allied with RAN, Shi-creator Tucci’s original concept for SHI) finds herself battling through a cartoonist’s history to find her way back to her daughter, Hotaru.
Spanning the decades from 1928 to the present, Shi: Gatecrasher takes the reader on an amazing adventure across comics’ incredible decades, trends, and genres. A funny book fantasy that sees Ana and Ran encountering, war, westerns, horror, apes, nazis, space vixens, superheroes, romance, robots, dinosaurs, commies, cartoons, crime, bad girls, zombies and even the seduction of the innocent!
Based on the Story by Tucci and writer J.C. Vaughn and illustrated by Tucci, Leandro Oliveira and Brian Miller with lettering by Mindy Lopkin, Shi: Gatecrasher is literally the “destroy all monsters” of comic book character collision!
Gatecrasher features several striking variant covers by comic book greats, Art Thibert, Renie Strychalski and Tucci.

The Rob Liefeld Kickstarter Edition is limited to just 500 copies and features Rob’s striking depiction of a drawn-blood covered Shi wielding an mystical katana.

About Billy Tucci
Inkpot Award recipient Billy Tucci is a cartoonist best known for his modern-day samurai saga Shi.
