Today, March 23, 2023 marks the 29th Anniversary of the debut of Crusade Comics’ groundbreaking comic, Shi: Way of the Warrior #1 on store shelves across the world. To celebrate this milestone, Shi-creator Billy Tucci and Deborah Tucci host a very special edition of Thursday Night Live with the “King and Queen of Kickstarter” Brian and Francisca Pulido. The Pulido’s will discuss how their independent “Bad Girl” sensation Lady Death created a entire new genre that literally changed the face of comics since its launch in 1994.
The Tucci’s and Pulido’s will talk self-publishing history, their current crowdfunding and comic shop successes, and how Lady Death and Shi’s new books continue to delight audiences the world over. Viewers can also interact with the couples as they answer fans question LIVE.
Brian Pulido is the founder and publisher of Coffin Comics, the outlaw independent comics label that publishes the “Coffinverse” line of graphic novels including Lady Death, La Muerta, Hellwitch and other heavy metal inspired supernatural comic books and merchandise. “Brian is not only a friend and inspiration to me and countless other originators seeking to self-publish their creator-owned comics. He is a generous spokesman and ambassador for our industry.” Stated Tucci. “It is truly an honor to host he and Francisca on Thursday Night Live.”
